Find Healing and Connection in Group Art Therapy

Welcome to Art Therapy Studio of Reno, where creativity and community come together to foster healing and personal growth.

Our group therapy sessions offer a unique and supportive space to explore your emotions, share your experiences, and connect with others on a similar journey. You don't need any artistic skill—just an open heart and a willingness to explore.

Why Choose Group Art Therapy?

Sharing the creative process with others can be a powerful experience. Group sessions provide a sense of belonging and understanding, reminding you that you are not alone. Under the guidance of our certified art therapists, you'll use art to express what words cannot, gain new perspectives, and build a supportive network right here in Reno.

Individual Art Therapy

Art therapy supports trauma healing by giving individuals a safe, nonverbal way to express overwhelming emotions and memories without becoming flooded. The sensory qualities of art help regulate the nervous system, while creative choices restore a sense of control and empowerment often lost in trauma. By externalizing experiences through imagery, clients can gently integrate fragmented memories, reduce avoidance, and build resilience. The artwork becomes a bridge to verbal processing when they’re ready, helping them make meaning, challenge shame, and reconnect with a stronger sense of self.

Couples’ Art Therapy

Couples’ art therapy offers partners a fresh way to reconnect by shifting them out of old communication patterns and into a shared creative process. Instead of relying only on words—which can feel charged or limiting—art provides a gentle, expressive language that helps each person feel seen and understood. Creating together lowers defensiveness, builds empathy, encourages playfulness, and fosters emotional attunement. Over time, these experiences offer meaningful repair and leave couples with tangible reminders of their growth and renewed connection.

Family Art Therapy

Art therapy gives families a safe, creative way to understand each other better and work through tension without getting stuck in old patterns. Making art together slows everyone down, encourages honest expression, and brings forward feelings that may be hard to say out loud. It helps parents and children build empathy, strengthen communication, and reconnect through shared experiences. Families often leave with clearer understanding, renewed trust, and simple creative tools they can use at home to stay connected.
